Element PU cold room panel

When selecting insulation panels for cold storage, many buyers focus primarily on price, often overlooking critical factors that impact long-term operations-such as manufacturing capabilities and product consistency. Although they may all be labeled as "cold storage panels," finished products from different manufacturers vary significantly in terms of thermal insulation performance and service life; this is precisely why an increasing number of overseas clients prioritize Element cold storage panels.

1. Introduction to Automated Production Lines

Element cold storage panels are manufactured on a fully integrated, continuous foaming and lamination line; the entire process-from raw materials to finished product-takes place in-house, with no outsourcing involved.
The production sequence begins with color-coated steel coil loading, followed by the application of a protective electrostatic film and panel forming. The panels then enter the dual-track foaming and lamination station, where polyurethane raw materials are thoroughly mixed and expanded, bonding firmly with the metal facings. After forming, the panels undergo precision cutting and controlled-temperature curing before being packaged and staged for container loading and shipment.
On-site quality control inspections are conducted at every stage of the process to minimize common defects-such as core voids, surface blistering, and panel deformation-right at the source, ensuring consistent performance across mass-produced batches.

2. Key Product Specifications

Element polyurethane (PU) cold storage panels meet the customization requirements of various cold storage projects; key specifications are as follows:

  • Facing material (PPGI color-coated steel) thickness: 0.4–0.7 mm (selectable)
  • Panel thickness: 40/50/75/100/120/150/200 mm (multiple options available)
  • Color: Customizable to any color via RAL standards
  • PU core density: 45 kg/m³ (±2)
  • Effective width: Wall panels 400–1120 mm; roof panels fixed at 1000 mm
  • Length: Up to 11.85 m (fitting 40HQ containers); custom lengths available
  • Thermal transmittance (U-value): PU panel ≤0.024 W/(m·K)
  • Fire rating: PU core Class B1
  • Surface texture: Flat, V8 embossed, micro-ribbed, and other options available
  • Applications: Thermal insulation envelopes for cold storage facilities and industrial workshops

3. On-site client visit and inspection

Overseas clients from around the world regularly schedule visits to the Element factory for on-site inspections.
During these visits, we engage in in-depth business discussions, explaining our cold storage panel manufacturing processes and project solutions. We also guide clients through our fully automated production lines, allowing them to observe the entire panel manufacturing process firsthand. Many clients verify sample quality, production capacity, and delivery schedules on-site, while also discussing the practical challenges of implementing their cold storage projects.
These face-to-face factory visits eliminate the concerns often associated with cross-border procurement where the physical product cannot be seen beforehand. Consequently, many clients finalize long-term supply partnerships immediately following their visit and discussions.

4. Certification Documents and Test Reports

A key reason clients choose Element cold storage panels is our comprehensive quality assurance system for exports. We hold a full suite of authoritative compliance documents, ensuring smooth processes for overseas project bidding, customs clearance, and on-site engineering acceptance.
All relevant certification documents-covering everything from factory production management to finished product performance-are fully verifiable.
For international clients, this eliminates concerns that project delays might arise from falsified credentials or incomplete documentation, offering greater security throughout the partnership-a major reason why so many clients choose to work with us for the long term.

In addition to system certifications, our polyurethane sandwich panels for cold storage have undergone random sampling and testing by professional third-party institutions. Comprehensive tests were conducted on key performance indicators-including thermal insulation and conductivity, fire resistance, mechanical strength, high-temperature stability, and water absorption-with all results meeting the relevant standards.

5. Customized Solution Services

We go beyond simply supplying standardized cold storage panels; instead, we provide tailored solutions by recommending specific panel thicknesses and core materials based on the project's operating temperatures, local climate, and site conditions.

  • For a seafood quick-freezing plant in Manila, Philippines, which required a -35°C blast-freezing chamber in a hot and humid climate, we selected thickened, high-density PU panels. These effectively withstand tropical heat, maintain stable low temperatures, and reduce the compressor's operating load.
  • For a fruit and vegetable preservation and trading center in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, designed for long-term storage at 0–5°C, we selected insulation panels of optimal thickness. This balanced thermal performance with the project budget while minimizing produce storage losses.
  • For a pharmaceutical cool-storage warehouse in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia-where strict temperature stability is required-we provided panels that met temperature control standards, ensuring an ideal storage environment for pharmaceuticals and facilitating successful local import approval.

Drawing on our experience with numerous successfully completed overseas projects, we deliver solutions customized for various industries and climates; this is a key reason why international clients choose us.
