PU Cold Room Panel Manufacturing Process
Element New Materials is a professional manufacturer of PU cold room panels and polyurethane sandwich panels in China. To improve production efficiency and product consistency, Element invested RMB 22 million in an Italian PUMA fully automatic polyurethane energy-saving panel production line. With an annual production capacity of more than 2 million square meters, the production line supports large-scale orders and customized insulated panel projects.
Element's polyurethane composite panel production line can manufacture PU sandwich panels, PU edge-sealed rock wool panels, PU edge-sealed glass wool panels and PU cold room panels. The highly mechanized production process helps maintain stable product quality, accurate dimensions and efficient production.
The complete PU cold room panel manufacturing process includes uncoiling and film lamination, roll forming, material distribution, high-temperature polyurethane foaming, double-belt curing and forming, cooling, precision cutting and stacking. Each stage plays an important role in the final performance of the panel.
During production, the metal sheets are first uncoiled and formed according to the required panel profile. Polyurethane materials are then accurately distributed between the metal facings. During high-temperature foaming, the PU material expands and forms a rigid insulation core. The panel then passes through a double-belt curing system, which helps control panel thickness, flatness, foam distribution and metal-to-core adhesion. After cooling, the continuous panel is precisely cut according to the customer's required dimensions and prepared for inspection and packaging.
Thermal insulation is one of the most important properties of a PU cold room panel. Element's PU cold room panels have a stated thermal conductivity of ≤0.024 W/(m·K), providing effective thermal insulation for cold rooms, freezer rooms, food processing facilities and cold chain warehouses.
Element PU panels also provide thermal insulation, moisture resistance and surface protection as part of a properly designed and installed insulated enclosure. The PU material provides stable insulation performance and helps reduce heat transfer through the cold room structure.
Fire performance is another important consideration. Element PU panels are described as having B-level fire performance with flame-retardant and difficult-to-combust characteristics. For international projects, customers should confirm the applicable fire classification and test documentation according to local standards and building regulations.
For buyers, choosing a PU cold room panel manufacturer should not be based only on price. Production equipment, PU density, thermal conductivity, panel thickness, metal sheet quality, foam adhesion, dimensional accuracy, quality inspection and production capacity should all be considered.
With advanced production equipment, large annual capacity and a controlled manufacturing process, Element New Materials provides PU cold room panels for customers and projects worldwide.
